I made this beat years ago, then when I first bought my Gretsch guitar in 2024 I rerecorded everything, and then when I finally decided to put words to it I was really mad. I have always thought that I was hotter I'd be a more successful musician.
It's the angriest song I've ever released. Pop-punk was the only genre honest enough for the feeling — the one where you're twenty-something, technically fine, and convinced you've already missed whatever general dabba of whatever train you were supposed to get on. Shit.
This was the underlying feeling I was competing with while doing my massive road trip in India. Lowkey ruined it for me.
